In September 2010, Agnes Tao (a born and raised Catholic) attended the RCIA session with her husband Nelson Cheung who was inquiring about the catholic faith. Throughout her participation in supporting her husband and other Catechumens; like others, Agnes found herself to be engaging into a transformative faith formation journey. In the following years, Agnes assisted Linda Arnold to co-facilitate the RCIA sessions and continued to sponsor others. And recently, Agnes has been delegated as the RCIA Coordinator.
"No words can described how grateful I am to have this opportunity to serve God and to serve the community at St. Augustine's Parish. Ever since I started volunteering at RCIA, I have discerned and prayed on a daily basis. My life has changed and my relationship with Jesus is much closer. I have learned so much by helping others in the RCIA. Thank you Lord!"
This Sunday at 11AM Mass we celebrate the Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens & the Rite of Welcoming Candidates for the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation. At this time the inquirers publicly declare their intention to continue their journey toward full initiation in the Catholic Church. Our responsibility as the Body of Christ at St. Augustine’s is to support these people through our actions and prayers.
Please keep the following people in your prayers…
Irene Oi Keng Chang
Letitia Clare Weatherill
